Tribute to Charlie Hebdo and Freedom of Speech
Summary
CISAC and its President Jean Michel Jarre join the global condemnation of Charlie Hebdo attacks and express support for freedom of speech
"On behalf of CISAC and the three million creators we represent around the world, I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences and support to the families of the people who died today in this horrific attack. They paid a high price for exercising a fundamental right -- the right to create freely and express through satire their views on the world.
Satire is one of the highest and most ancient forms of creative endeavour and one that, obviously, stands in the way of ideological barbarism. We are all Charlie today."
Jean Michel Jarre, President of CISAC
