On May 30th, over 200 creators and societies convened in Tokyo for CISAC’s 2019 General Assembly, hosted by JASRAC.
The assembly was opened by Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo, who underscored the vital importance of creators' rights. The 2019-2022 CISAC Board of Directors was elected, including new Chairs and Vice-Chairs. In addition to reviews of activities and events throughout the world for improving creator protections, Women@CISAC held a panel to provide an update on the collective call to improve equality and inclusion across collective management.
